Back on-line!

September 27, 2018

After a "contractual dispute" with my web site provider, the nub of which was a 50%+ increase in the annual hosting fee, an appropriate compromise has been achieved and my site has been re-connected to my domain name. It was, in fact, always available but only if you knew the impossibly long, temporary, address allocated to it! Either way the site is back up and No Need For Candles is available to buy directly through it once again.

In other news I'm delighted to confirm I'll be reading in Middlesborough on Saturday 27th April 2019 at The Black Light Engine Room. Timings are still to be confirmed for this evening reading but the basic details are up on the site.If you run a venue and would be interested in booking me to read in 2019 please get in touch using the details on the Contact Page or simply PM me if you're on Facebook.

And finally! I thoroughly enjoyed the last Poetry Weekend at Callander earlier this month. Sally and Ian are such generous hosts and have helped me, as a poet, in so many ways by providing such a wonderful opportunity to read each year. My very best wishes to both of them for the future.

Scotland is, naturally, still a massive part of my yearly cultural agenda and to this end I'm looking forward to Stanza 2019 at St Andrews. I'll be there from Thursady 7th March to Sunday 10th March. If you haven't been yet, and poetry is your thing, you really should try it!!
